Throughout March, Charter Hall’s Raine Square will host a series of uplifting events in celebration of International Women’s Day 2025.

Bringing together art, fashion, storytelling, and community, Raine Square invites the people of Perth to immerse themselves in an inspiring line-up of experiences, all designed to honour and recognise the incredible work being done by women for women.

Embracing UN Women’s official theme, “For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”, calling for action that can unlock equal rights, power and opportunities for all and a feminist future where no one is left behind. Central to this vision is empowering the next generation – youth, particularly young women and adolescent girls – as catalysts for lasting change.

This year, Raine Square has partnered with The Lip Lab Perth, Bankwest, Dress for Success WA, Writing WA, Night Parrot Press, Community Arts Network, and The Showgirls Crown, who have each contributed a unique experience to foster meaningful conversations around gender equality.

Some highlights throughout the month include events such as Shop to Support, a fashion pop-up supporting women’s career opportunities, Be Inspired, a portrait exhibition featuring female-identifying members of the Perth community and Rise | A Fashion Experience, a fashion display showcasing over 30 years worth of bold, brave and powerful garments and millinery designs from The Showgirls Crown.

All garments on display at Rise | A Fashion Experience are made of recycled materials such as water bottles, insulation, fencing paintbrushes, placemats and more, channelling a wonderful blend of sustainability and glamour.

The line-up of talented artists involved in Be Inspired includes visual Noongar artist and designer Kylie Graham, local Boorloo DJ and Emergency Medicine specialist Verity, local producer, program manager, visual artist, writer and performer Cléo Schurrer, sexologist, radio broadcaster and LGBTQIA+ advocate Kendal Buckley, and First Nations mural artist JD Penangke.

The precinct is dedicated to creating a space where creativity, business, and social impact intersect. This year’s International Women’s Day festivities aim to bring everyone together to celebrate the progress made toward equal opportunity while acknowledging the work still to be done for future generations to thrive.

Through a diverse program of events, Raine Square invites the public to participate in supporting women in all aspects by driving action towards meaningful change.
