Ramlegh Springs Village, a new neighbourhood shopping centre in Melbourne’s Clyde North, has received permit approval and is poised to become a dynamic community hub for the Ramlegh Springs community. Leading retailers Woolworths and ALDI have committed as anchor tenants, marking a significant step forward for the development.

Developed by APD Projects and positioned within the 700-lot Ramlegh Springs community, Ramlegh Springs Village will offer 9,050m2 of retail space, featuring 23 specialty stores in addition to Woolworths and ALDI.

Colliers has been appointed as the exclusive retail leasing agent, with Associate Director Daniel Paul reporting exceptional interest and 94% of space pre-committed.

“Demand for retail spaces within new neighbourhood shopping centres in high-growth areas have continued to increase post-COVID and snapped up years before completion,” said Paul. “Neighbourhood shopping centres continue to perform strongly, driven by the growth in consumer spending on non-discretionary items such as groceries, liquor and fresh food, which are considered essential spending and remain on a rising trajectory.”

Designed by i2C Architects, Ramlegh Springs Village will serve as a reimagined village square

The development’s location in Clyde North – 46 km southeast of Melbourne’s CBD – places it in a rapidly expanding corridor. Projections indicate a 30% population increase in Clyde North by 2041.

Ramlegh Springs Village has been designed by award-winning i2C Architects to serve as a contemporary village square. In addition to the anchor supermarkets, the centre will offer diverse retail and lifestyle experiences, including cafes, beauty services, medical consulting rooms, and a fitness centre.

APD Projects’ Director Brad Paddon said the future neighbourhood shopping centre will offer the surrounding Ramlegh Springs community with an extensive selection of brand-new retail services and amenities close to home.

“We are excited to be delivering a brand-new retail experience to our first master planned community, and with permits now approved for Ramlegh Springs Village shopping centre, we anticipate construction to commence in Q3 2024 and be open for trading early 2026,” said Paddon.

Additionally, APD Projects is actively developing The Base Craigieburn, a large-format retail precinct in Melbourne’s north. The first stage has already achieved a 95% commitment on over 10,000m2, with an additional 20,000m2 now on the market, ahead of program.
