The Shopping Centre Council of Australia (SCCA) has announced that nominations for its highly anticipated 2025 Marketing Awards will officially open on 1 July. These annual awards celebrate excellence in marketing across the shopping centre industry, recognising outstanding talent and creative campaigns from centres nationwide.
Eligible entries can be submitted by any shopping centre or group of centres located in Australia. Additionally, shopping centres based in New Zealand that are owned by Australian companies are also invited to participate. To qualify, campaigns must have been executed between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2025.
Submissions will be accepted exclusively via the AwardForce platform, with entries closing at 5pm on Tuesday, 5 August 2025. Sample entry forms have been provided to assist participants in the planning process.
Finalists will be announced on 1 September, with winners to be revealed during a Gala Dinner at the Ivy Ballroom in Sydney on 30 October.

This year’s entries will be assessed by a panel of expert judges, including: Louise Laing, General Manager Marketing ANZ, Intrepid Travel; Alistair Brown, Head of Marketing and Creative, Tarocash and Amy Pike, Head of Marketing, The Grounds.
The highest scoring entry across all categories will be honoured with the Sabina Rust Memorial Prize for Campaign of the Year, receiving $15,000 from the SCCA to support professional development in marketing. The Runner Up, will receive $5,000 for the same purpose.
Each category winner and runner up will receive a framed certificate of merit, recognising their exceptional contributions.
In addition, the SCCA will make a $5,000 donation to each of four community charities or groups nominated by the winners of the Community category, underscoring the industry’s commitment to social impact.
