This festive season, Karrinyup will be home to a Christmas experience unlike anywhere in Western Australia. Launching today, Thursday 3 November, in a sparkling start to the season, Perth’s largest Christmas tree, soaring at five storeys tall (17.5m), will be raised in The West Deck.

The tree will take a full 24 hours to install and will be adorned with 15,000 lights and 2,500 baubles.

The festive spirit will also be enjoyed at every corner of the centre, with 35 helpers installing more than 35,000 bespoke baubles and 25,000 metres of lighting, across the centre, bringing the magic of Christmas to life.

Karrinyup will also be welcoming a host of new retailers to the centre just in time for Christmas including Converse, Miele, Nude Lucy and Ugg, giving customers even more reasons to shop this year.

General Manager of Karrinyup, Ben Davis said the Christmas experience coupled with the retail mix and wider centre offering would make for a very special festive season at Karrinyup.

“Karrinyup has a special place in the hearts of families across Perth and is the city’s number one destination for Christmas, where customers can find it all this season. We are proud to once again be lighting up Karrinyup, providing another magical Christmas experience for all of our customers to enjoy, which complements our exceptional retail offering,” said Davis.

From the one-of-a-kind immersive Santa Experience the whole family can enjoy, the illuminated Christmas baubles spread throughout the West Deck, and a festive projection taking centre stage in the new entertainment and dining precinct, Karrinyup has cemented itself as the home of Christmas in Perth.

Marking the arrival of the festive season on 3 November will be the Christmas Light Festival in The West Deck and wider Centre. Karrinyup will come alive with live music, roaming entertainment, festive activities, the abseiling arrival of Santa and treats, as well as the official ‘lighting of the tree’ the entire community can enjoy.
