Costco will be the anchor tenant in a new large-format retail precinct in Alkimos, the Home X Trade Hub, part of Perth’s rapidly growing northern suburbs.
Located adjacent to the new Metronet Alkimos Station and with direct freeway access via Romeo Road, the Home X Trade Hub is expected to become a key commercial and employment node in the region.
The development is part of the Alkimos Central masterplan and will transform a 24-hectare site into a large-format retail destination designed to serve the fast-growing populations of Alkimos, Eglinton and surrounds.
“With Costco coming soon to the Home X Trade Hub, this is a unique chance for businesses to establish themselves alongside a global retail leader, further enhancing the precinct’s profile and drawing significant customer traffic to the area,” said planning and lands minister John Carey.
“The City of Wanneroo’s population has the potential to almost double by 2036 and our government is committed to creating the amenity to support this growth.”
The government, through DevelopmentWA, has now opened Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for other commercial operators to secure land within the precinct. Up to 17 hectares of development-ready lots are reportedly available.
With the Alkimos-Eglinton area expected to house more than 45,000 residents by 2035, the hub forms a key part of the state’s plan to deliver infrastructure, jobs, and services to Perth’s rapidly growing northern suburbs.
