Sydney developer Deicorp has opened its new Showground Village in the Hills District’s Castle Hill, close to the Hills Showground Metro.
The new complex offers 9500sqm of retail space across four levels, including 26 specialty retailers and a 1400sqm public plaza.
The opening of the building was commemorated by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by the Premier of NSW, Chris Minns MP, Minister for Planning and Public Spaces Paul Scully, Mayor of the Hills Shire Council Dr Michelle Byrne, Castle Hill MP Mark Hodges, Landcom CEO Alexander Wendler, and local dignitaries.

“The Showground Precinct, appropriately located next to the Metro, will accommodate over 9000 additional dwellings with a population of around 20,000 people once fully developed,” said Dr Byrne.
“Over 5000 dwellings have already been approved and are expected to be constructed over the coming years,” she said.
The new centre is anchored by Woolworths and BWS and will house a Priceline pharmacy, an Anytime Fitness, family dining options, cafes, and essential services.
The complex is part of the Hills Showground Station Precinct, an urban renewal initiative led by Landcom and Sydney Metro, with Deicorp selected to deliver both the Showground Village and Precinct East, providing over 1300 new dwellings and injecting more than $2 billion into the economy.
“Hills Showground Village follows Deicorp’s philosophy of delivering homes that provide great lifestyle and amenity within a vibrant, transport-connected community,” said Deicorp founder Fouad Deiri.
“With the Metro providing direct access to employment, education, and entertainment hubs, we’re proud to deliver a retail centre that supports the way people live, work, and connect today.”
The opening furthers Deicorp’s bid to develop Metro-linked communities, including Tallawong Village, Falcon and Alexander at Crows Nest, and the recently approved Kings Bay Village in Five Dock.
