Melbourne Central is adding three new retailers this spring, with Books Kinokuniya, MeeQ, and Adore Beauty joining the centre alongside a refurbished Cotton On Body store.
Books Kinokuniya opened on Level 2, marking the Japanese bookstore chain’s first Australian location outside New South Wales and its first interstate expansion since opening its Sydney flagship at The Galeries in 2002.
The new store brings Kinokuniya’s retail concept to Melbourne, with a selection spanning Australian and international literature, Japanese and Chinese-language titles, manga, children’s books, stationery, gifts, and lifestyle products.
Collectables and gift retailer MeeQ will open on September 28. The brand stocks Jellycat, Miffy, and Hello Kitty, alongside scented soaps, candles, diffusers, hair accessories, homewares, and other gifts.
Adore Beauty will also open its first CBD store this month. The location will feature the beauty retailer’s mix of established and emerging brands.
Meanwhile, Cotton On Body is reopening following a refurbishment designed to update the store and improve the customer experience.
Andrew Drivas, centre GM at Melbourne Central, said the new additions form part of the centre’s ongoing investment in its retail mix.
“Melbourne Central’s offerings are consciously curated to bring the best experiences and products to our retail community. We’re also proud to continue building upon the collectable trend with MeeQ,” Drivas added.
