Mulpha Australia has unveiled plans for its zero-carbon Norwest Quarter residential and retail precinct, located in Sydney’s Hills District.
The company has committed to using 100 per cent GreenPower renewable energy, implementing efficient water management plans, and using low- or zero-carbon materials.
The development will also aim for zero operational waste, process organic waste on-site, and use circular cleaning products produced on the site.
“Australian consumers are increasingly aware of the environmental footprint of their purchases,” said Andrew Nichols, director NSW development at Mulpha.
“We’re creating a precinct that doesn’t just serve a community but helps shape a better future by championing sustainable, conscious retail.”
The 3500sqm development will be anchored by an Evolve Health Club gym and fresh food supermarket, The Growers, and will feature a mix of health, wellness, and lifestyle operators.
The first stage of Norwest Quarter’s development includes the Banksia and Lacebark residential towers, comprising 181 apartments across 9450sqm, and the retail precinct, which is set to open in the first half of next year.
