Construction has commenced on the $175 million Tudor Vale Retail Centre in Munno Para West, marked by the groundbreaking for a $60 million shopping centre that will be home to a new Coles supermarket.
The retail centre forms part of the $400 million Tudor Vale residential and commercial development by DC Developments. The project includes more than 500 new homes, a 6420sqm shopping centre and a 20,000sqm large-format retail precinct.
The Tudor Vale Shopping Centre will feature a full Coles supermarket offering, including fresh food, a bakery, a deli, and a drive-thru click-and-collect service.

Confirmed tenants include Liquorland, Terry White Chemist, St George’s Bakery and several specialty retailers. The centre will provide more than 300 parking spaces, including four EV charging bays.
Construction is expected to create more than 200 jobs, with the opening scheduled for late next year. Across the broader Tudor Vale development, 156 of the 500 planned homes are either occupied or under construction, and a further 68 homes are scheduled for completion by mid-2027. Works on parks and 4.6ha of public open space are also underway.
James Angus, construction director at DC Developments, said the groundbreaking marked a key milestone for the project. “We are creating a retail and shopping centre that will not only benefit Tudor Vale residents but will be a drawcard and community hub for people living in the rapidly growing northern suburbs,” said Angus.

Coles regional manager Annie Worden said the new store would provide convenient shopping options for the local customers, both in-store and online. “At Coles, we are constantly evaluating our store network to ensure we are delivering the best shopping experience for our customers,” she said.
Minister for Housing and Urban Development Nick Champion said Adelaide’s northern region is recording strong housing growth and requires expanded amenities and community infrastructure. He welcomed DC Developments’ investment in the Tudor Vale Retail Centre.
City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty said the project reflects continued private investment in Munno Para West. “Sustainable growth requires more than new homes,” he said. “This investment provides jobs, new retail offerings and services close to home, in one of South Australia’s fastest growing communities.”
