Privately-owned developer Revelop is breathing new life into underutilised assets and crafting thoughtfully curated town centres. From greenfield projects in Sydney’s growth corridors to major refurbishments in established suburbs, each development shares a common thread: long-term thinking, deep local connection and retail that’s built to evolve with its people.

As the retail landscape continues to evolve, one developer has proven time and again that meaningful growth doesn’t come from replication, but from reinvention. Revelop, the privately-owned property group known for its adaptive thinking and community-first strategies, is charting a bold course in transforming everyday retail centres into curated, hyper-local destinations that reflect the communities they serve.

With a growing portfolio across NSW and South Australia, Revelop has built a reputation for acquiring underutilised assets and injecting them with new energy, experience and long-term value. The company is currently undertaking ambitious projects across multiple growth corridors in NSW, including Chisholm, Calderwood, Frenchs Forest, Box Hill, Dural and Plumpton, with each site playing a unique role in the brand’s vision of integrated, sustainable and socially responsive place-making.

Chisholm Plaza

In the heart of the Hunter Region, Revelop’s master planned vision for Chisholm is coming to life. Designed to anchor one of the region’s most exciting residential growth zones, the future Chisholm Town Centre will blend essential retail, green spaces and high-quality amenity into a walkable urban village.

“Chisholm Plaza is not just about a shopping centre, it’s about creating a place where families can connect, relax and grow,” said  Charbel Hazzouri, Co-Founder, Revelop.

The centre will feature a major supermarket, everyday convenience retailers, family-friendly dining, wellness services and indoor-outdoor community spaces. The development approach prioritises long-term integration with surrounding infrastructure, including nearby schools, housing and transport links, ensuring the precinct supports the needs of the 8,000+ new homes expected in the region.

Chisholm Plaza is expected to be completed in late 2026.

Calderwood Village

Calderwood Village

Further south, Revelop is advancing construction for Calderwood Village, a high-profile greenfield project located in one of Illawarra’s fastest-growing corridors. As a future home to more than 12,500 residents, Calderwood will need more than just traditional retail, it will require a true town centre experience.

Revelop’s design responds to that brief with a future-focused layout that combines retail, large-format, childcare, medical and casual dining across multiple stages of delivery. The site is set to serve not only the residents of Calderwood but also the wider Shellharbour and Albion Park areas.

This exciting addition is expected to be delivered in late 2025, where the precinct will incorporate sustainable design principles, native landscaping and community-focused facilities, giving locals more reason to stay, shop and socialise close to home.

Forestway Shopping Centre

In Sydney’s northern beaches, Revelop is preparing to unveil the next chapter for Forestway Shopping Centre. Situated in Frenchs Forest, Forestway is undergoing a major transformation to meet the lifestyle expectations of a rapidly changing catchment.

In June, the NSW Planning Panel formally granted a Development Approval for the site, after four years of meticulous planning, design and lengthy consultations.

The refurbishment will include a comprehensive internal refresh, elevated dining offers, improved pedestrian access, and upgrades to car parking and amenities. A reinvigorated brand identity is also underway, positioning Forestway as a modern neighbourhood hub that celebrates the best of local food, convenience and community.

“Forestway is a great example of our strategy in action — take a high-potential asset and elevate it with purpose, not just polish,” said Anthony El-Hazouri, Co-Founder, Revelop.

Box HIll Village

Box Hill Village

In the thriving North West Growth Area of Sydney, Revelop is delivering a landmark project that will anchor one of the city’s fastest-growing suburbs: Box Hill Village. Designed to meet the everyday needs of this rapidly expanding community, the centre will offer a curated mix of essential retail, fresh food, wellness, dining and lifestyle services.

Strategically located to support the 13,000+ new homes planned across the broader precinct, Box Hill Village is positioned to become a true town centre, providing much-needed amenity, connection and convenience for local families.

Revelop’s vision for the site goes beyond traditional retail. With considered architecture, family-friendly amenities, shaded public areas and ample green space, Box Hill Village is being designed as a walkable, community-first destination.

With a full-line supermarket and a strong mix of supporting tenancies already in planning, Box Hill Village is set to become the heart of a growing neighbourhood and a flagship asset in Revelop’s Western Sydney portfolio.

Dural Town Centre

Dural Town Centre

In the leafy surrounds of Sydney’s north-west, Revelop is set to deliver a landmark new retail-led precinct: Dural Town Centre. Following formal Development Approval from The Hills Local Planning Panel in late June, the greenfield site is now one step closer to becoming a vibrant, future-focused destination for the growing Dural community.

Dural Town Centre will introduce more than 10,000m2 of retail floorspace, with an impressive list of anchor tenants, alongside a curated mix of more than 30 specialty stores. Everyday convenience will meet lifestyle and wellness, with the inclusion of a large-format medical and allied health precinct, a fitness and wellness centre and a diverse food and dining offering all part of the planned mix.

More than a shopping destination, Dural Town Centre will be a connected community hub, bringing new energy, services, and amenity to one of Sydney’s most established and evolving, semi-rural suburbs. It’s a significant milestone for Revelop and a transformative step forward for Dural.

Plumpton Central

Plumpton Central

In one of Sydney’s fastest-growing corridors, Revelop is preparing to execute a project of rare scale and significance, Plumpton Central. Positioned just 17km from the Parramatta CBD, this major greenfield development will be the first sub-regional shopping centre of its kind to be delivered in metropolitan Sydney in more than two decades.

Plumpton Central will be a dual-anchored retail hub, supported by a discount department store, a large-format liquor offering and more than 60 specialty retailers, creating a true one-stop destination for shopping, services and daily convenience.

Designed to meet the demands of a booming catchment, Plumpton Central will bring intentionally designed and carefully curated retail infrastructure to the western suburbs. Revelop has committed to delivering not just shops, but also connection, convenience and community amenity at scale.

At the core of Revelop’s success is its privately held structure, which allows for long-term thinking, fast decision-making and deep local engagement. Revelop invests in projects with 10-, 15-, even 20-year horizons, ensuring each centre evolves with its community over time.

The team also brings together decades of retail, property and investment expertise, combined with a refreshingly hands-on attitude to asset management and leasing. It’s this rare combination of entrepreneurial energy and delivery discipline that continues to set Revelop apart. From greenfield builds to urban reinvention, the company’s approach remains consistent: anchor each place in its local identity and build retail that feels real, relevant and ready for the future.

As Australia’s urban footprint expands and expectations shift, Revelop is proving that better shopping centres aren’t just possible, they’re essential.
