Mickleham locals are set to enjoy a major boost in convenience with the upcoming construction of a state-of-the-art shopping centre and supermarket, at Satterley’s Botanical Estate.

Developer-builder Oreana will begin work next month on the $75 million Botanical Village Town Centre, a 7,415m2 retail destination located on the corner of Ellscott Boulevard and Brossard Road, Mickleham, which will open in early 2026.

At the heart of the centre will be a cutting-edge Coles supermarket, spanning 3,400m2. The town centre will also feature 25 specialty stores, including a gym, pharmacy, medical centre and food and beverage, offering a diverse mix of retail and services. Adding to the offering, Oreana will develop and deliver a new Aspire Early Learning & Kindergarten, creating a true one-stop destination for locals.

Oreana Managing Director Tony Sass said Botanical Village is anticipated to become a cornerstone of the new Mickleham community.

“This new town centre has been strategically designed to provide unmatched convenience, bringing together essential needs in one location — a state-of-the-art supermarket, early education facilities, and specialty retail,” Sass said.

“It’s more than just a place to shop; it’s about creating a central hub where daily life is made easier and more connected.

“Developments like this play a vital role in building and uniting greenfield communities, offering residents a shared space to meet, connect, and truly feel at home in their growing neighbourhood.”

Botanical Estate developer Satterley’s General Manager for Victoria & Queensland Jack Hoffmann welcomed the commencement of construction early works ahead of major activity to start on site in the coming months.

“The commencement of early works on the new town centre marks an exciting milestone for the residents and purchasers at Botanical Estate,” Hoffman said.

“It’s a testament to delivering on our promise to create a vibrant community hub that brings essential convenience to residents.

“This development is more than just bricks-and-mortar — it represents progress and opportunity, offering locals a place to shop, connect, and enjoy their growing neighbourhood. It’s a fantastic step forward for Mickleham and a great outcome for the community.”

An integrated developer-builder, Oreana recently completed the Kallo Town Centre in Kalkallo spanning 7,120m2 of lettable area, a Woolworths, 30 retailers, office and an Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten.

The group has also recently started work on several new shopping centre developments, including the $18 million Farmgate Local shopping centre in Clyde. In addition, works are set to begin on the $32 million Linfield Place shopping centre in Epping.
