QIC Real Estate has partnered with Scholastic Australia to support National Family Reading Month next month, launching a 31-day campaign encouraging families to read together for 10 minutes each day.
The initiative, themed ‘Read Every Day. ‘Read More in May’ aims to help strengthen daily reading habits at home amid concerns about literacy levels in Australia, with one in three students not meeting national benchmarks.
QIC head of marketing Bronwyn Cooper said the partnership brings the campaign into local communities through the group’s retail centres.
“Through National Family Reading Month, we’re encouraging local families to take just ten minutes a day to read together, because simple daily habits can have a lifelong impact,” Cooper said.
Scholastic Australia MD David Peagram said the challenge is designed to make reading more consistent and accessible.
The initiative will run across QIC centres throughout next month, with families encouraged to take part in the challenge.
