Sunshine Plaza is celebrating new season fashion, homewares, and beauty this Spring with the launch of a retro inspired laundromat and gumball machine, with a chance to win a share of $100,000 worth of prizes.

At the heart of this transformative event lies The Good Day Recycling Station, a recycling initiative encouraging the community to make a positive impact. The innovative partnership with TerraCycle invites visitors to drop one or more empty beauty products from Sephora, David Jones and/or L’Occitane to recycle at the Donation Station.

Sunshine Plaza Centre Manager, Michael Manwaring said: “Customers have a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the new season with exciting prizes and a chance to declutter those empty beauty products.

“The Feel-Good Laundromat offers a unique space where we go beyond the traditional retail experience by making a positive change,” he said.

The Feel-Good Laundromat

The Feel-Good Laundromat will take over Sunshine Plaza’s Centre Court from Thursday 7 September to Sunday 17 September transforming the space into a hub of excitement, inviting customers to shop, play, win, and help make a difference.

TerraCycle General Manager, Jean Bailliard said: “According to industry figures only 18% of plastic packaging is currently recycled in Australia.

“To complement the kerbside recycling system, TerraCycle partners with wonderful brands like Sephora, David Jones and L’Occitane, who sponsor recycling programs providing Australians with the opportunity to recycle their beauty packaging, so it doesn’t end up in landfill.”

In collaboration with the vibrant Australian label SagexClare, Sunshine Plaza is also giving customers the chance to receive a limited-edition luxurious towel when spending $150 or more on fashion, beauty, or homewares. The giveaway is available to the first 100 customers each day.
