The Northern Territory’s first iPlay entertainment centre is on its way, set to open at Casuarina Square in Darwin.

Iplay has signed a 10-year lease at Casuarina Square, owned by Sentinel Property Group. The entertainment centre will be on a 1080sqm site.

“This is a fantastic coup for Casuarina Square and the Territory for iPlay to bring its family entertainment to the Top End for the first time,” Sentinel’s CEO, Warren Ebert, said.

“Iplay will be a great place for families and the broader community to come to Casuarina Square to socialise and make connections.”

With more than 180 stores and a gross lettable area of 55,000sqm, Casuarina Square is one of the state’s prime shopping destinations. Ebert said the deal demonstrated the centre’s drawing power.

“Every man, woman, and child in Darwin visits Casuarina Square more than five times every month,” he added.

As Australia’s largest family-owned entertainment centre, iPlay’s CEO John Sophios said: “It’s all about bringing people together”.

“Family and community have always been at the heart of what we do,” he added.
