Charlestown Square is partnering with League Stars Play Rugby League and the Newcastle Knights Cheerleaders to host kids’ rugby league clinics.

The ‘Train Like a Knight’ program offers local children the opportunity to participate in 30-minute sessions focused on rugby league and cheerleading.

According to the centre, these clinics are designed to be inclusive and aim to help participants develop athletic skills, build confidence, and stay active.

Participants also have the opportunity to meet a Newcastle Knights player or cheerleader during the event.

“These school holidays, Charlestown Square is proud to give local kids the chance to train like a Newcastle Knight or Knights Cheerleader, and enjoy the fun, energy and teamwork that make rugby league such a big part of life in the Hunter,” said Sarah Kane from Charlestown Square.
