Riverlink Shopping Centre will open The Link, a dining and entertainment precinct at East Mall, following a $150,000 redevelopment investment.

The 400sqm project connects the existing retail section to the Bremer River area and expands the centre’s dining and entertainment offering. Riverlink said the redevelopment comes as Ipswich’s population increases and demand for integrated retail formats continues to grow.

The Link adds more than 110 seats and a QR code ordering system, allowing customers to order from multiple venues within the precinct. The space includes dining areas, an interactive entertainment zone and two stages for community events.

The project will expand the centre’s dining and entertainment offering.

Tenants at the precinct include iPlay, Limelight Cinemas, The Coffee Club, iSushi, Dumpling Paradise House, Rashays, Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers, Jamaica Blue and Baskin-Robbins.

The precinct is located in the Gasometer area near Rashays, iPlay and Limelight Cinemas. The space includes LED see-saws, an illuminated ping-pong table, and neon-lit installations.

Riverlink Shopping Centre acting centre manager Jamie Sneyd said the project was developed to expand the centre’s role beyond a retail function.

“It’s more than a collection of restaurants; it’s a precinct built for the community to enjoy throughout the day and night,” he said. “We’ve invested heavily in design, infrastructure, and ongoing programming to ensure it’s not just a place to eat but somewhere people come to spend time, connect and be entertained.”

Riverlink said the precinct will host live performances, workshops and family events. The precinct launch is scheduled for May 23.
