Westfield has unveiled its latest Mother’s Day campaign, which utilises a reimagined 1980s power ballad to highlight various aspects of motherhood.

The campaign features a new version of Starship’s ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now’ across three 30-second video segments.

“This campaign is a heartfelt thank you to the mums who keep everything moving and for all the ways they show their love,” said Amy Copley at Scentre Group.

“If you’ve ever sewn limbs on an octopus costume after midnight, blended spinach into pasta sauce, or wondered when your adult children might move out, this one’s for you.”

Developed in partnership with AKQA, the campaign will be distributed across multiple media channels, including connected TV, social media platforms such as Meta and Spotify, and cinema.

The content will be displayed on the Connected Screen Network across 42 Westfield centres in Australia and New Zealand.

The campaign launch will be supported by in-centre events and activations specifically for the Mother’s Day period.
