On March 23, after undergoing an $85-million transformation, the Bellarine Peninsula’s largest everyday shopping destination, Gateway Plaza officially opened.

Geelong Cats champion Billy Brownless joined Vicinity Centres CEO and Managing Director Angus McNaughton to officially open the modern, family-friendly centre in Leopold, Victoria.

McNaughton said: “We’ve transformed to provide our customers with an outstanding experience and we are proud to give the local community and visitors great retail brands, exciting food and dining options, and convenient services.”
Gateway Plaza is anchored by the Peninsula’s first Bunnings Warehouse and Kmart, a new Aldi, Coles and 40 new stores.

Centre Manager, Russell Yelland said: “We are delighted to welcome loyal and new customers to the transformed Gateway Plaza which has been designed to cater for the growing local community.”
Gateway Plaza now offers the local community an unrivalled and convenient retail experience close to home.
