Top Ryde City, NSW

Top Ryde City officially launched a brand new fresh-food precinct, marking a milestone in an exciting centre-wide refurbishment.

A range of fresh food and specialty stores opened its doors to the public, including a state-of-the-art Coles store on November 9.

“We’ve been inundated with positive feedback on our new Kmart store from customers and tenants, with a noticeable increase in foot traffic to the centre since opening in June. We can’t wait to see the community response to Coles and the new Level 1,” said Peter Reece, Centre Manager.

To celebrate the milestone, Top Ryde City hosted a series of family-friendly ‘Up Top Markets’ allowing families to immerse themselves in all things fresh food, along with performances by Lah Lah’s Big Live Band and cooking demonstrations from Celebrity chef and Junior MasterChef judge, Anna Gare.

Architectural design firm i2C were given a brief to create something iconic and bold for customer arrival into the new Level 1. “Customer experience of the travelator canopy differs greatly from day and night. During the day the sleek curves and sculptural form creates a contrast to the surrounding building. In the evening the lighting by Desa animates the space creating a visual spectacle,” said Anthony Palmas, Senior Associate, i2C.

Since being announced in 2015, Top Ryde City has undergone significant changes to better provide for its customers, cementing the centre as a premium dining and entertainment destination for families and the broader community.
