David Jones has opened its first boutique-format store, introducing an exciting new concept to its store portfolio, and delivering a world-class retail experience in the heart of Sydney’s new Barangaroo precinct.

David Jones Chief Executive Officer, John Dixon, joined by David Jones Ambassadors Jessica Gomes, Jesinta Campbell and Jason Dundas, cut the ribbon at the official opening of the premium retailer’s 42nd store in front of a crowd of eager customers and residents.

Measuring just 1,396m2, the store at Barangaroo is a truly dynamic retail experience combining David Jones’ award-winning store design and premium services within an energised, lightfilled space.
The store also features David Jones’ new cafe concept, serving customers hot and cold beverages, breakfast and lunch.

Supplementing the boutique edit, Barangaroo customers will have access to David Jones’ full collections through Click and Collect.

The new store is designed with the flexibility to evolve with the Barangaroo precinct as it develops its full offering and as visitor numbers increase. Flexible features and format will enable David Jones to regularly update the store in response to customer feedback and preferences, or seasonal activity.
