Frasers Property Australia’s $60 million Mambourin Marketplace has opened in Melbourne’s west.

The centre was launched with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by Wyndham City Mayor Mia Shaw.

“The opening is a major milestone for our growing Mambourin community and an exciting addition to Melbourne’s west,” said centre manager Snigdha Sharma.

“With a strong mix of local retailers, services and dining options, Mambourin Marketplace will provide a unique shopping and social experience for the region.”

The launch also featured the unveiling of Woven Through Country, a new artwork by Wadawurrung artist Chloe Chatterton. The piece incorporated symbols of the You Yangs, rivers, and local landscapes, with references to gathering and knowledge-sharing. Chatterton said the work highlighted the importance of people coming together, and included Bunjil, the spirit creator, as a reminder to care for Country.

Mambourin Marketplace is anchored by a Coles supermarket, features retail and dining options including Plus Fitness, Sarnandoz Barber, Mambourin Meat & Fish, Choice Pharmacy, Smokin’ Joes Pizza & Pasta, and Sushi Hub.
