Skyfields by Perth Airport has won the Best Retail Development or Redevelopment category at the Property Council WA Awards for its Dunreath Village neighbourhood shopping centre.

Located near Redcliffe Station, Dunreath Village opened in 2023 with anchor tenants Woolworths, Priceline, and Sushi Hub.

The centre expanded this year with the addition of a flagship Dan Murphy’s, new specialty retailers, food and beverage operators, and public art installations.

Designed by Hames Sharley and developed by Skyfields in partnership with Shelford Constructions and Perth Airport’s Projects and Planning team, the centre was created to support the long-term redevelopment plans for the Airport Estate and for Perth Airport’s One Airport strategy.

The development serves residents, office workers, airport visitors, and shoppers travelling to nearby retail destinations, including Costco and DFO Perth.

Clay Thomas, GM of property development at Skyfields, said the award recognised both the quality of the project and its long-term vision.

“This is a meaningful recognition of the work, care and conviction behind Dunreath Village, and its role as the anchor of amenity and convenience within our emerging town centre,” he said.

“The judges acknowledged not only the quality of the retail outcome, but the long-term thinking behind it: designing for what comes next, not just what was required at the time.”

The Property Council WA Awards select winners through a peer-reviewed judging process assessing planning, design, innovation, delivery, and long-term impact.
